This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the rules and responsibilities for customers, users, and organizations ("Users") accessing or utilizing services provided or managed by Genesis Business Solutions.

By using our services, you agree to comply with this policy and all applicable laws and regulations.

Acceptable Use

Users must use Genesis Business Solutions services in a lawful, professional, and responsible manner.

You agree not to use our services to:

Illegal Activities

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations.

  • Engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or criminal activities.

  • Promote or facilitate unlawful conduct.

 

Unauthorized Access

  • Access systems, networks, accounts, or data without authorization.

  • Attempt to bypass security controls or authentication mechanisms.

  • Perform unauthorized vulnerability scanning, hacking, or penetration testing.

 

Malware and Cybersecurity Threats

  • Create, distribute, transmit, or store malware, ransomware, viruses, worms, Trojan horses, or malicious code.

  • Conduct phishing, spoofing, or social engineering attacks.

  • Disrupt, damage, or compromise the security of any network or system.

 

Spam and Unsolicited Communications

  • Send unsolicited commercial messages ("spam").

  • Distribute bulk email without authorization.

  • Relay email through unauthorized servers or services.

 

Intellectual Property Violations

  • Infringe on copyrights, trademarks, patents, or other intellectual property rights.

  • Distribute unauthorized software, media, or proprietary content.

 

Harmful or Offensive Content

  • Publish or distribute content that is defamatory, threatening, discriminatory, hateful, or otherwise unlawful.

  • Violate the privacy rights of individuals or organizations.

 

Account Security

Customers are responsible for protecting their accounts and credentials.

You must:

  • Maintain secure passwords.

  • Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) where available.

  • Immediately report suspected unauthorized access.

  • Restrict account access to authorized personnel only.

 

You may not share login credentials or permit unauthorized users to access services under your account.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers remain responsible for:

  • Activities performed by their employees and authorized users.

  • Maintaining device security.

  • Compliance with applicable privacy and cybersecurity regulations.

  • Reporting security incidents or suspected breaches promptly.

 

Genesis Business Solutions recommends maintaining current antivirus protection, endpoint security, and security awareness training for all users.

Monitoring and Protection

To protect clients, systems, and infrastructure, Genesis Business Solutions may monitor, log, and analyze service activity where necessary to:

  • Detect and investigate security incidents.

  • Protect network integrity and service availability.

  • Ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations.

  • Prevent abuse of company-managed services.

 

Such monitoring is conducted in accordance with applicable privacy legislation and contractual requirements.

Service Protection Measures

Genesis Business Solutions reserves the right to:

  • Block malicious traffic or content.

  • Restrict access to compromised accounts or devices.

  • Suspend services that present a security risk.

  • Remove content or activities that violate this policy.

  • Take reasonable actions necessary to protect clients, infrastructure, and business operations.

 

Violations

Violations of this policy may result in:

  • Temporary suspension of services.

  • Restriction of access privileges.

  • Service termination in accordance with contractual agreements.

  • Additional corrective actions deemed necessary to protect systems and customers.

  • Reporting of unlawful activities to appropriate authorities where required by law.
